Key Dates for NEWRnet Student Programs for 2016

  • February 19: Application deadline for undergraduate research opportunities. Students apply online through the NEWRnet website.
     
  • During Summer 2016, the students will be staying at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI and Jim Chace is heading up the logistics.
     
  • June 6: Student arrive in evening at Salve Regina and stay there. Salve will coordinate pick up at Kingston RI Amtrak Train station for students.
     
  • June 7 and 8: Short course/orientation program for undergraduate interns
     
  • June 8:late afternoon. Students return home. Delaware students transported back to Amtrak station.
     
  • August 10: Students arrive and stay at Salve Regina.
     
  • August 11: Poster event and talks by students at University of Rhode Island main campus. End in late afternoon so all students can head home.
     
  • Students will be shuttled to all events and to and from Kingston Train station by Salve.
